July Hash 2010 Run # 41
An amazing number of hashers (27 in total) turned out for this race set by the one and only Pit Bull. Our members are just swelling thanks to recruiting by Topsy & No Name Brenda. Deb will be returning from the Flatlands for both runs in August and Bonnie returned without Laura.
Midstream & Bonnie captured the race (edit – it’s a hash Choo Choo, not a r@#e – Down Down lined up for you sir J) on their cameras and pictures will be out soon. Nosehare had a lovely run despite the egging on of Free & Easy who just about cleaned up on the run, until the last steep incline in the hot summer sun. White Trash and Squat graced us with their appearance before they jet off to bring stability to Sri Lanka…maybe. Brenda K found the trail hot, and city Joe was fighting a cold, but still made a day of it. Nothing gave us some details for the up coming out-post hash in Sorrento for August 21st , details on the Hareline. Beermaster, F’N Trail, was on hand to handle all bevvie issues, along with his newly named Assistant Beermaster. Quick n’ Qweemie and Jonathan kept the circle waiting as they discussed the latest in medicine.
Eleven virgins were christened and many were swearing to return for more. P-On-On was enthralled by the barking deer at the start of the run, while Choo Choo gave a pathetic attempt at the horn. Speaking of all things horny, No Name Hari is a no-name no more – as she was officially christined Horny Wallaby. Many more Down Down’s handed out – Virgins Leona & Veki for being extra keen (in depth KH3 website research on Hashing Terms), Matt for Alcohol Abuse), White Trash & Squat for their Absenteeism, Virgins Tracey & Ajae for taking too long to get the hang of yelling On On, and four into the circle for a lack of hash attire – for shame F’n Trail, White Trash, Jonathan & Bonnie J.
A great run with a brilliant Hash View – well done Pitbull. Two runs for you in August, in-town on Thursday August 12th @ 6pm, and an Outpost Run in Sorrento (get out your camping gear) on Saturday August 21st . Check the Hareline for details!!!
On On!!!
June Hash 2010 Run # 40
The Virgin Hares, Bonnie and Laura, really laid out a scenic trail for this fortieth Run for the Kamloops Hash House Harriers...under the watchful
guidance of Hash Master Choo Choo. The weather was perfect (so says the RA), with the mud bogs dried into somewhat manageable ruts.
Many Noble Hashers came to appreciate this milestone run for our fine kennel here in Kamloops. Deb from Moose Jaw found
the scenery breathtaking and may just find it too irresistible to continue to endure the Flat Lands. PeeOnOn enjoyed the flora, but F'N Trail
just about had to change his shorts when he ran past Brenda and heard a growl...courtesy of the local wildlife (aka Choo Choo). Midstream and
Hari enjoyed the stroll along Scott Road, and were glad to be out and about. Ever the fashionista, Jonathan made it known he did not want
another crap T-Shirt. Nothing just about put the pack on the wrong scent by finding the return route before galloping along the OnOn trail.
Topsy guarded the beer and pointed late comer Pit Bull in the right direction, though he then missed all the false trails and the real trails
to blow by all the Hashers in record time. Joe from the City found the whole idea to be just about too crazy, though he & fellow virgins,
Brenda & Deb, enjoyed the On On After at Harold’s Restaurant, and seem eager to get out again. Choo Choo gave out false readings for the mileage
to the start point and was let off easy…this time!!!
New Mismanagement Committee members came aboard, with Loggerhead taking on the Hare Raiser duties (contact him if you'd like to set a run),
Midstream is our new Hash Flash, F'n Trail is the Beermaster, with No Name Hari taking on the Assistant Beermaster position. We are still
looking for a mid-pack hasher to take on the Hash Horn, let us know!!
The run dates for July (Pitbull) & August (Nothing – Sorrento) are set – check the Hareline for more details.
May Hash 2010 Run # 39
The May 14th hash was held in Kamloops starting at Sports Central and ending at Sports Central. Topsy had recruited
new members who brought much appreciative enthusiasm. Bonnie,Tammy Laura and Jacqueline had swollen our members
to nineteen. Loggerhead had attended to business so only was able to come to the after hash. Hari who is five months
along managed to drag her significant other to the after hash as well. The Hares, Bare Ass and Lost and Found lead us
along the streets and paths in Lower Sahali and through TRU hoping that the toilet seat would not be used. Some confusion
of the trail let Pit Bull and Choo Choo to almost finish behind the likes of Pee On On. Road Apple and Nosehare were
amazed at the scenery and Pink Cougar was aghast that their was only two kinds of wine for the after hash. Hulkster
was amazed at the newness of TRU and Kiss Hash never did make it to University this time. Next Hash will be on the
Friday after the Relay for Life and July is open for anyone who wants to Hare that month. Quickn Qweamy thought the
trail did not go to the dogs.

Relay For Life June 12 2010 Riverside Park
Hi everyone. I am have finally registered our Relay for LIfe Team - Team name is "Kamloops Hash House Harriers". The event
takes place on Saturday, June 12th and starts at 10 a.m. with the Survivors Lap. Brett "Topsy" Turvey and I will be co-captians
for the event so when you join the team please send us both an email so we know how many people we have on the team.
You can also send either one of us a note if you have any questions or ideas. My email is bcorbin@telus.net and Brett's
is topsy.hashes@gmail.com.
This is going to be our "Red Dress" run BUT we decided that in honour of cancer, we should wear either a yellow or a pink
dress with perhaps a red sash to signify the RED aspect of the red dress run. We will have a Canopy set up in the park as our
headquarters and would like to decorate it so we are asking you to give us some ideas for a theme to and join us in the
decorating on Saturday morning at 9:30. We were thinking it would be a great idea this year to have a pot luck for dinner
at our tent so we will bring a bbq and ask that you let us know what you would like to provide for the feast. Topsy will bring
a table for us to set up our feast. We had lots of fun last year and would like to make this one bigger and better! We were
also thinking that doing a little fund raising at our headquarters during the event might be fun and a good way to have people
come by so we can tell them about KH3 and bring in some new members. One idea we had is a jar with something in it so
people can guess the number of items and the winner will win 50% of the proceeds. We were thinking the items should be
Hash House related so if you have any ideas let us know (and NOT sawdust unless you want to be the one to count the bits!)
If you plan to join us on June 12th at Riverside Park to participate in the Relay, please follow this link http://www.cancer.ca/.
Enter the community of Kamloops and click on the link that asks if you want to join an existing team. Once you complete the
information you will become a member of the team and will be able to send notes to your friends and family asking them to
donate their pledges online. There is a form letter provided that you can use but it is a little confusing because it is asking the
recipients of your email if they want to join the team not pledge to your participation. Following is the note I sent just to give
you an idea of what to tell your friends and family when you send the note.
April Hash 2010 Run #38
On a wonderful Sunday hardy hashers set out to Kenna Cartwright Park for a looong hash. But with sky of blue and warm
temperatures there was nary a complaint. This trail had it's challenges. Bare Ass threatened to change the hare's name to Goat
on account of the difficulty. Lost and Found lived up to her name leading Topsey,Moonstone Cowboy and Barry No Name off the
scent and into the beautiful view of the Airport. Qwickn Qweamy took up most of the tailend of the pack even with the extra false
trails. P-ON-ON kept the pack on the straight and narrow and herded the front running bastards along. Faceplant and Hulkster
ambled along with only a few short rest breaks. Nosehare was mumbling and not stumbling along looking for violations as usual.
Pit Bull finished then returned to the trail to pop up at a fort only he got tired of waiting and returned without spooking anyone.
Topsy is contemplating the idea of Religion Instuction.

March Hash 2010 Run # 37
Nine crazy hashers on short notice gathered at Albert McGowan Park. Lisa and Barry enjoyed the walk. Meanwhile Moonstone Cowboy
was pressed for an explaination of Crazy at McKinley Courts. Free and Easy's ears were bleeding when Midstream arrived to a rant
about private property. Loggerhead had to cut out to get some Advil for his sore back. PeeOnOn complained that ChooChoo was not
sounding out On On leading her to find just about all the false trails. Lost and Found found the Crazy Lady and was Mystified by her performance.
We are always looking for volunteers for upcoming Hash's. Please contact Us if your interested or would like to help out. |
